Huge Praise!!!

Long story short[er than it could be]:  Hubby and I decided we would like to expand our family through adoption and biokids before we even got married (7.5 years ago tomorrow; CRAZY).  We're now much closer to the point where we can actually start down the adoption process.  To be totally honest: this year, I got about seven different books on adoption for my birthday and have worked through them (the first time).  We've narrowed it down a little bit, but not fully and stopped working as hard toward it when a) the two agencies we talked with pretty much said they wouldn't work with us until after we move (at that point, we knew we'd be moving within a year and a half) and b) we got pregnant this summer (woo hoo).  So for a while there, we were stalled.  I counted this as a blessing not only because we were able to get pregnant again, but also because it would give us some time to figure out for sure which adoption option/route is right for our family and so that we can start saving.

Since that time, though, we've been saving for when we get to the point that we can actually start the process.  This last week, we've been blessed to pass the 2K mark.  We've been selling some stuff we don't need, selling some homemade items, babysitting and petsitting, and have gotten a few gifts that we've chosen to put into this fund.  It's SUCH a blessing to see this fund grow!

I know that once we get our emergency fund fully funded, we'll be able to throw a lot more toward the adoption fund (despite our limited resources) but it's just SUCH a blessing to see a good chunk of change set aside specifically for adding to our family.

I just *had* to blog about this blessing/accomplishment because I'm so excited.  We may still be torn between two options which would impact the financial aspect greatly.  We may still be a while away time-wise before we can even really start on the process.  But knowing that we're getting prepared in at least one needed way is such a relief in the scheme of things, knowing what our long-term goals for our family are.

I'm so excited to continue on this journey!
